Nova V1280 Sco independently discovered
by Yuji Nakamura, Kameyama, Mie, Japan and Yukio Sakurai, Mito, Ibaraki-ken, Japan (IAU Circular 8803). Discovery Magnitude: 9.9. The coordinates of the object are:  R.A. = 16h 57m 41.26s, Decl. = -32o 20' 35.6" (epoch 2000.0)

Instrument: Celestron 11 + LHIRES III spectrograph (1200 l/mm grating) + Canon EOS 350D DSLR camera (Baader IR cut filter) - Exposure 5 x 300 s
Note: bad seeing.
