NOVA OPHIUCHI 2002 (V2540 Oph)

 

Independent discovered by Katsumi Haseda the Jan. 24.838 UT 2002, when the new object was at mag 9.0 (Aichi, Japan, 0.10-m f/4 twin patrol camera + T-Max 400 film) and by Yuji Nakamura (Suzuka, Mie, Japan, 200-mm f/4 lens + Tri-X film; communicated by M. Soma, National Astronomical Observatory, Tokyo). IAU Circular 7808.
Localization of the nova (J2000.0): RA = 17h37m34.60s - DEC = -16°23'18.4"
